About Me & My Activities

Hello everyone...🤗

My name is Eko Lesomar and I was born in Biak Island - Papua Province, Indonesia. So, I would like to share about my activities and experiences in observing and photographing birds in Biak Island and other places in Papua 😂
=============================================================
My daily bird watching activity started from this island and when I first got to know birds in the wild, I tried to learn about the endemic birds of Biak Island which are the targets of bird watching. Well, Biak Island is a small island located in the north of the Papua mainland, and almost my life has been spent on this island. Now, because of my love for birds, I have become a Bird Watching and Bird Photography Tour Guide / Escort on Biak Island. (So, if you want to visit here, please contact me via chat or message... This is my phone number (+62) 812 4829 9411 and we can discuss your trip to this island or other places in Papua such as Sorong, Waigeo Island, Jayapura, Numfor Island, Supiori Regency, and Yapen Island)…👍

Biak Island has several types of endemic birds and endemic subspecies including: Biak Paradise Kingfisher, Biak Black Flycatcher, Biak Triller, Biak Pitta, Biak Lorikeet, Biak Scops-Owl, Biak Coucal, Biak Gerygone, Biak White-eyes, Biak Monarch, Biak Myzomela, Biak Megapode, Geelvink Pygmy Parrot, Geelvink Fruit-dove, Geelvink Imperial Pigeon, Black-winged Lory, but unfortunately for some types of birds are threatened with extinction due to the lack of concern in maintaining the balance of the ecosystem and logging of trees without any policy in replanting and hunting of birds to be eaten or as pets... (really sad 😢)..

By the way, back to the topic of my activities so far, I will show some photos of activities with clients and some of my bird photo collections from several areas in Papua, besides my own routine activities on Biak Island.

Finally, I would like to thank you for visiting my personal blog to see my activities and share this experience with all of you....😊
